A typical combined project takes 3–7 days on-site, depending on roof size and complexity — the roof is replaced first, then solar is installed directly on the new roof. Total project time from contract to power-on runs 6–10 weeks, including permits, materials lead time, and SDG&E interconnection. Doing both at once is significantly faster than two separate contractor projects.

The roofing materials themselves carry the manufacturer’s warranty (typically 25–50 years for asphalt shingle and tile). Our roofing workmanship carries a 10-year warranty, and our solar installation is covered for 25 years. Because we’re a single contractor for both, there’s no warranty finger-pointing — one company stands behind the entire installation.

Almost any roof can support solar with the right approach, but a few situations need special handling: severely deteriorated roofs require replacement before installation (we can do both), some shake/wood-shingle roofs may require an underlayment upgrade, and very steep pitches above 7/12 add labor cost. We assess your specific roof condition during the free site visit and tell you upfront if anything is a deal-breaker.
